The CSO Network Gathering is an annual get-together for staff and volunteers at local churches engaged in sports ministry. It is quite different from typical conferences.
We started with the questions, “What can we do together that we cannot do alone?” and “What can we only do face-to-face together that we can’t do on the phone, via the web, or through email? We tried then to emphasize those key elements in our planning. As a result, the Gathering is focused on discussion, interaction, and personal/team/group processing of the ideas presented as well as relationship building around multiple experiential games. Participants leave with not just ideas but the beginning of implementation ideas as well as the stimulation and support of others wrestling with these same concepts.
