Bob SchindlerWhile a buckeye from birth, Bob built a loyalty for the SEC growing up in Louisville KY and attending Vanderbilt University. He spent 20 years in East Tennessee and along with his whole family has a soft spot for the UT Vols (except when they are playing Vanderbilt – go Dores!) to go with his dislike of the not-so-sacred NY Yankees.

After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering and working for 3 years, Bob pursued a career in professional golf (a very inauspicious one). Bob had the thrill of victory in shooting the low final round of a PGA Qualifying School only to experience the agony of defeat by losing in a playoff. After a 3 year return to the business world, Bob took a job as an associate pastor where he served for 8 years. He then planted a church and served as a senior pastor for 10 years before joining CSO in 2003 as the Director of Leadership Development. Bob now heads up the CSO Leadership Center and the CSO USA efforts (As you can tell here, Bob has never been at a loss for words.) where it thrills him to pursue his passions for the local church, outreach, and equipping people.

Bob grew up playing football and baseball before turning to golf late in high school and now enjoys basketball, golf and is trying to learn whitewater kayaking. He has been married to Beth since 1976 and has 4 adult children and one grandson. (Most people say he looks too young to have kids that old! Modesty is also one of his great traits.) Besides sports, Bob enjoys learning, analyzing and then synthesizing thoughts.

One final thought – He hasn’t yet repented of throwing oranges at the UT basketball team while he was at Vanderbilt.
