The Barna Group released some great research today about teens and their role models. You can read the full article here. I’ve summarized the research below:

The nationwide sample of teenagers asked 13- to 17-year-olds to identify the person whom they admire most today as a role model, other than their parents. A follow-up question probed the reasons they define that person as a role model.

The most popular answers (in order):

37%–A relative
11%–Coaches
9%–Friends
5%–Religious leaders
5%–Sports heroes
4%–Politicians
4%–Faith leaders

As you can see from the research, a Christian coach can have quite the impact on a teen.
