Bob, liked your video. It really challenged me in that I think we do a decent job of evangelism by cultivating the soil with people from outside of our church. But we do not really do any discipleship. Now maybe that part will come once we start getting into more youth leagues and we are discipling coaches, but right now we focus mainly on adult outreach. Can you give me a one sentence definition of what you think discipleship is? I know I have been leaving the role of what I think discipleship is to the rest of the church staff and the pastors. I know I need to be making disciples because that’s what Jesus called us to do. But I guess I have been zeroing in on the outreach aspect so that we (as a sports ministry) don’t get spread out trying to be a church and all things to all people. I guess I was just challenged by what you said and a little confused on where discipleship comes into play. And to me, discipleship is one of those Christianese words (‘Ministry’ is another one) that means something different to everyone and never gets clearly defined. Feel free to call me if you want to talk more. Thanks,
